Sung Sup Rhee is Emeritus Professor at Soongsil University.

 

He received Ph.D. in economics at State University of New York at Buffalo in 1982. He received B.A. and M.A. degrees from Seoul National University in 1971 and 1973.

He taught economics at University of Victoria, Canada in 1981-82. He worked at Korea Development Institute as Research Fellow in 1882-86 until he joined the faculty of economics and international commerce of Soongsil University in 1986. He taught economics as visiting professor at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology in Fall 1992.

He founded the KIEA (Korea insittution and economics assoiciation) in 1992 and have been actively working as president and member. He was vice president of Korea Economic Assoication (2010-11).

He has devoted research life for the study of relation exchange economics ever since he published “Kwankae Kyohwan Kyongjaehak (Relation Exchange Economics),” Jaedo wa Kyongjae (Review of Institution and Economics), 6(2), 123-151.

 

He was awarded the First Grand Prize of Academic Achievement for the Excellence of Paper ( above-mentioned) Publication, which was conferred by The KIEA (Korea Institution and Economics Association), February1, 2018.

Human cognitive system (Kahneman 2003) requires the sympathy-consent dimension (or dimension of bounded rationality) in the analytical architecture of economics in addition to the traditional value-cost rationality dimension.

The sympathy-consent process is drawn as straight line merely for the insightful envisioning. In reality, it cannot be so due to the inability to measure it as index number.
